I was born in Denver and went to the University in Denver, so this airport is extra special to me. We have clocked too many hours together.
The airport is a sight, just start on your long haul there, it's in the middle of NO WHERE! But hey, there is a blue demon horse to great you, come at night and its eyes glow red. Funny enough, I always take this as a good omen and feel "home" when I see it. Also, the security room has a huge tarp in the shape of mountains! Go to the terminals and there is a giant Mayan like structure. It's super big but homey. For reference the tornado shelters are the bathrooms, um cool!
I like to grab food at Panada Express or grab a Daz Bog(Russian for something like god but nonsensical as I remember. hey just like the real thing! or lack there of...). Then find your gate, and call a friend. I like to spend this time just passing through ,calling friends in Denver. If an extra long wait, why not have a friend meet you at the airport for a Jamba Juice or a pretzel?
The train is so fun. The mayor welcomes you to Denver. The Mile High City.
Hope you enjoy sitting Milehigh on one of your next layovers!

La Guardia, You Took My Pillow And I Won't Forget
Why are you set up this way! The switching through terminals is in a U shape. Just remember that and it;s an easy switch from domestic to international and back. Unlike LAX, where you have to get on a bus to get between the terminals. I lost my fave pillow here in NY while going to Montreal so I have some negative feelings. Also flights always seem to come in late. When I was returning from Montreal we could not leave because there was a ground stop in NY because of weather so again a little frustrated with this airport but hey what else do you expect from NY?
Pheonix, Day Dream Away Your Layover
The land of the sharp, beautiful mountains. You can see the amazing sight perfect from the terminal and the control tower is set right in front of the setting sun. Get some good photo shots at this airport, worth it. Nice airport but nicer to be distracted by the beauty outside.
You Can Find Me In ST Lou-AY! Rain All Day, Not.
Hey I was raised in STL. The airport has definitely gone through an upgrade, as when I was home one Easter in college from DU in Denver, and it was hit by a tornado. The lights are all new and a whole new terminal and the rest got an upgrade. Big statues now line the halls. There is a Magic House playground in terminal A with a metro bus, a plane and a control tower. The shops are nice. I love the new fun decor. Hope you enjoy your layover in my hometown and have a taste of the laid-back Midwestern culture.
OC/John Wayne/Santa Ana
So many names for a small airport. As my parents lived in the OC this was the perfect airport for me to grow up in. I loved the few shops. A candy store and good plush toys it was a dream. The admirals club is up in the rafters and offers a very cool in the clouds feel. Big windows, very tall room. My favorite airport. Fast easy and cozy.
Auckland International/ Domestic
Super Friendly deffinetly that kiwi attitude of treat everyone as a friend. Clean and welcoming. Nice seating before security. Security in domestic is super easy and stress free, love this airport but then again there is a special place in my heart for New Zealand. Customes is easy but arrive late at night to avoid the lines if you do not have a NZ or AUS passport.
LAX, Nothing Like The Show
Anyone remember the show LAX? I know I do. I loved Heather Lockclear and her partners antics in trying to sabotage the other in their game of dominance over the terminals.
Big with a small down feel. It looks intimidating but they have the carriers split up nicely into more manageable sections. Don't let it scare you. I had a pleasant service here in the evening. Actually got to go through pre TSA here, no clue how that happened, but I didn't have to take my shoes off. WOAH! lol. I also enjoy their plant and tree enclosures near the gates. Great shops as always and great bars/ restaurants.

Dallas Fort WORTH
Worth every min. When I was younger I flew through here a lot. The sky tram once again is super fun like a ride at disney. If you know where to find it. even if you just need to kill time while you have a layover worth the ride. I love the Mall they have inside the airport. I have never been one for shopping or malls but this one is different I mean it's in an airport! They have book shops restaurants so so many shops! I always made a point of going through as many shops as I could.
WATCH OUT they constantly switch your gate on you and you have to change terminals right before your flight. Great fun for the adventurous spirits out there.

YUL How Is That Montreal Treadu?
This airport is a hub. I mean you are in Montreal, Quebec! The french was a little overwhelming at first. I knew the city was bilingual but it was more begrudenly so. The customs agents were nice. Especially since I forgot to write my address in the States and was freaking out that I hadn't seen one of my best friends in 2 years and was staying for a week. I was also seeing a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years and man she is super cute, so I was also nervous.
But the agent joked with me and just had me finish filling it out. "Only a week in Montreal? Why only a week!?" I gotta say customer service in Montreal is great. On my trip out I wanted to use the rest of my Canadian cash and the gift shop lady let me pay with the cash and my card, an inconvenience I am sure. Gotta say thought the U.S. customs agents were not so friendly on the way back. This Airports' begels sandwiches are a must have here! Also great place to spend time if you are looking to pick up some french. Also the village was amazing, definitely worth the visit.

Atlanta. Home Of Ludacris
I actually started this journey home from L.A. with none other than Ludacris. This man is so nice. I had this man who did not speak english well notice or tickets were to the same gate and he kept close to me trying to communicate as we thought our flight might be sooner than the security line would allow us to get through. Well we get to the gate and they are almost boarding. this man comes up behind the man who speaks little english beside me and keeps saying excuse me finally i tap him and say sir I don't think he speaks english. The man tells me thank you and the man sees me talking and moves. Right when he walks away I am like his voice, and see his face OMG NO! lol I liked Ludacris as much as the next person but after this encounter I am a fan. Very down to earth, patient and polite. You got my vote sir. He seemed really down, don't know if this was true but as I was walking through the cabin got stuck right in front of him. He was looking down so I tapped him and said "Sir I would just like to say I really like your stuff." His face lit up as he said thank you I said your welcome and moved along. Probably the first person there who didn't ask for anything.
But when I landed in atlanta it was 5 am. My flight was at 7. The airport was just springing to life. Employees were coming in and opening shops as I lazily made my way to my next gate. This Airport was first of all extremely clean. They usually are but this one especially. and the SEATS! there were no armrests so you could sleep some places perfect i needed a nap! AND omg the seats are so plushy! Deff in my top 5 airports!

Detroit Airport: The Hood Of Delta
Hey peeps. Let me see. I just visited this airport on a interview trip to LA. I was pleasantly surprised by this Airport and generally the Detriot area as I flew in. It was very green. I mean, like super green, so many parks and trees, it put Missouri to shame. The Airport was super modern. There were sky trams, which always takes me back to times at Disney when I was little. The architecture here is just amazing. The beams are something of a work of art. The ceilings are high and Delta runs this hub. Some cute shops, wish my layover would have been longer.

As I got older, I started switching planes and traveling internationally. I wanted to give my tips for travel as well as my reviews of airports! This is my travel blog! Hola y benvinidos!
